Default Limited app selection due to Intel chip???

I'm looking into taking the plunge and buying my first tablet. I cannot afford a high end tablet and to be honest I really don't have need of one. So I'm quite interested in the Tab 3 series recently anounced.

I've just been reading a review of the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 on what appears to be a Canadian site called Mobilesyrup, and they claim the following:

"The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 is a strange beast. It offers a 1.6Ghz dual-core chip, but itís an x86-based Intel Clover Trail+ variant, which could limit app selection."

Really? Is this true? How could the system chip affect app selection?

This is the only such comment I've seen in the various reviews that are around at this pre-release stage, so I may need to take it with a pinch of salt. If it is true then it could well be a big minus point against buying one. But is there any tech-savvy person out there who can shed some light on this please?
