TB works with root only, so you can use it now as long as you rooted your N3. Safe Strap is the other option we can use for installing ROMS. It creates additional 'Slots' in the internal memory, where you can load custom ROMs. When your phone boots up, you have the option to choose which ROM slot you want the phone to boot up with. That's the dumbed down version of what it actually does, it's the only version I It's not ideal, but in the case of the Bionic and now the N3, it may be the only option. SS worked really good on the Bionic and I'd expect the same with the N3.
