You said you just picked the phone up. Do you mean drom a table or from a store. IF from a store, return it for a refund or replacement. (It's brand new, so no refurbs.)

If it's from a table, it could be bricked, but it's not really possible to tell from the little you've given us. (The red triangle is a Bad Thing.) Bring it to the carrier's store and see if they can give you an idea of what's wrong and approximately what it will cost to fix (if they can't just push a few buttons to fix it). Sometimes the worst things are the simplest to fix, so don't throw your hands up in he air just yet.
