Yeah that was pretty disappointing, I was playing level 60 of the Ruins and defeated him. I was fast forwarding so I didn't even get to see what it looked like. All I saw was achievement unlocked. Maybe he will appear again. Found him on the 80th wave of enemies on the 60th level on the Ruins map, to be specific.
