I used Handcent for a while, but then I decided to try out Chomp. I found that Chomp works better overall and it was definitely worth the 3 bucks it cost to ditch the ads. Love it. Only thing I wish that it did was to allow you to read the text without the phone auto unlocking. I haven't had any problems with things happening because it unlocked, but I'd like to see it if possible.
