Well, I'd say that both are pretty safe now that we have the original Bell amss and the cache.img, you can always go back to the original firmware (when we didn't have it, people who flashed the amss were pretty much screwed).

However, it's a bit more complicated to install Galaxo because of the drivers and such, some people experience problems. I do prefer Galaxo over the stock 1.6 though, and if you decide to go for it, I'd suggest following this guide, it's really simple.
