I'm with shoresidejake on this. I'm gonna input contacts and calendar manually ... good hands-on way for me to get familiar with the device, the keyboard, the interface, etc. .... And weed out the contacts I don't really need ...

I've searched this on different forums and depending on where your contact info is currently, transferring it to the Droid is not necessarily easy. For example, I've been using a Palm T/X (not a smartphone) and from what I've read, the steps to transfer that to Gmail format and thus sync to my new Droid are far from idiot-proof.

If you've got your contacts in MS Outlook, I read that transferring/sync'ing to Droid should be easy.
