I did say "patiently", didn't I? :-)
I love the phone. I love the OS. I really love what Launcher Pro does to the OS.
And my largest disappointment and most significant operational sacrifice that I made when I moved off my LG Voyager was losing the ability to touch my ear and say "Call Home" or "Call Email Administrator" or "Check time" without touching the bloody phone. Say like when I'm driving or something.
It bothered me then. It bothered me more than I admitted to myself when this basic disfunctionality wasn't fixed w/ 2.1. It bothers me today.
And it bothers me that for various reasons I can't root and install Froyo right now, so it bothers me that I need to wait some more.
So, when's the best guess for 2.2 OTA? or pre-OTA official download? I'll go check that thread...
Oh, and never had an iPhone or Treo, so this is the worst smartphone updating I've ever had.
On far and away the best smartphone I've ever had.
