Presume you are a fellow Aussie, I totally agree with you. I bought my HTC Hero after reading PCAuthority and because I never wanted to buy anything from Apple.
Being not tech savvy I am lost and now regret my purchase. I can connect to my router (Netgear) but not browsing or email, which defeated the purpose of buying it. People I know could use their iPhone for these things out of the box. May be I should have stayed on with Nokia.
