f.) select "format /sdcard"
g.) then click on yes !
h.) after format is compete go to "advanced" menu in the main menu
i.) select "partition sd card"
j.) elect the size that you thought in step 2
k.) for then it will ask for "Swap size" select 0M
Then installed link2sd from market. when opened asked to select partition --> ext3 chosen. I am getting an error
"Mount script cannot be created.
Mount: Device or resource busy
ext3 may not be supported on your device. Try Fat32 on the second partition"
But earlier i did the same it worked. Now its not working. Am I missing some thing.
i am too facing the same problem.....earlier it was working fine...but after i update the hybid v3 downloaded from the newer link- Download Hybrid+v3(updated)+by+cool+gautam.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
it is saying- "Mount script cannot be created.
Mount: Device or resource busy
ext3 may not be supported on your device. Try Fat32 on the second partition"
Hey guys,
i just want to know whether this whole thing of link2sd can be done in other mobiles also(samsung galaxy pop)......if this can be done with all the mobiles...i think it will help a lot of android users who are getting bugged from low memory icon popping on the notification bar as soon as they install a medium sized game or app..Plz reply asap..
Why r u caring about others?
They already know it.
Moreover phones like galaxy pop have got a custom kernel and all those advanced things then why they won't know abt link2sd ?

exactly!
in-fact we here are trying to learn and port already build up things
even wondered why XDA has so many less devices in catalogue? there exists devs which are developing like from 15-20 + yrs ! hence every now and then things keep on coming up if source is available .
also if these guys already have a k.source code they must have done many tweaks on the device, for them Link2sd is a kid's play !

Hi friend, after installing all instructed apps in your tutorial I was very happy as I saw a good increase in my phone internal memory ( free memory about 130 Mb ) but now I am facing again low memory as it showing free memory about 60 Mb. Link2sd app shows only superuser & link2sd in internal storage while almost 47 apps includig yahoo messanger with video plugin are linked 2 sd. Can anyone suggest me where I am making a mistake ? ( NOTE: NO DALVIK CACHE FILE AT THE MOMENT )

This problem does arise with Link2sd as it does create system links for each app installed hence you install many apps it does matter !
the problem with Link2sd is that it does not link private data either
But for getting more from ur phone just do these steps
1.) open Link2sd and click on link Dalvik
2.) similar way link library
3.) get app like cachemate
4.) clear out the cache
5.) reboot to recovery or use Titanium backup and clear Dalvik
if you want a bit more :
5.) you can use Titanium backup and link system updates to System partition in meu !
NOTE :
these methods do help in increasing the space but for a drastic increase there is a technique called DTA2sd is used ! this is like complete data folder is linked once on sd
but not recommended as you do not control which app goes to Sd !
I have an 32GB microSD card... i formated using the GPartED, as i could not see the option in recovery mode to format.
I created first 28GB fat32 partition and second of 2GB ext3 partition.. formatted and rebooted system.
Installed Link2SD but when i starts it ask what is your secondary partition, on selecting ext3 it gives error
Mount Script error
Mount script cannot be created
mount : No such device
ext3 may not be supported on your device. Try FAT32 on the second partition

My phone is Micromax A75 2.3.4
helpppp
Well it is a matter of fact that this is highly kernel specific !
I have written this for A70 which supports ext3 !
for resolving you can try these steps :
1.) Reboot and try also i will recommend [Quick Reboot] from the Link2SD app
2.) if the above option does not work try formatting ti ext2
3.) If the option fails too then u r out of luck but i won't think ext2 will not get mounted !!
4.) But ya if u want sure shot solution format the second partition also in FAT32 then it will surely work but just that doing so .... [ i have written in the Original Post ! read it from there ]

Well ,
i think, you meant data memory and not system memory !
Yup, this may happen !
instead of auto linking , i have observed, if you install App to internal memory then Link some apps in bunch manually later, it helps !!
hey ninad link2sd was working properly on the stock rom
but after i flashed to hybridV3 getting the error
"Mount script cannot be created.
Mount: Device or resource busy
ext3 may not be supported on your device. Try Fat32 on the second partition"

Plz solve this issue..
Try restart..
If that don't help then try factory reset..
even that also don't solve problem then reflash the rom..
It happened sometimes to me also n solved by reflashing.

Well flashing won't help
Do one thing, Go to Recovery, go to mounts and then go to format sd-ext
I think you are on A70
Btw, i had to say , go to link2sd, then select "clear second partition"
okay...phone started... i cleared sd-ext, nd installed d rom again...i still have some 330mb in sdext... on ubuntu i can c d drive connected...but has no folders in it...

okay i have a new problem, my mobile was switched off after a battery drain.., now on starting it all my apps r gone...is it coz of link2sd or coz of froyo sandwich???
nd also i cant create mount scripts of ext3... ths wer yesterdays screenshots when i was in stock rom...
'quick reboot' didn't work...
but i found a new solution....
downloaded software called "mini tool partition" on pc...
formatted d partition and everything is fine now...
