Default [ROM][rooted][stock]PREROOTED STOCK ROM - micromax a87 (Please thank ITZMIANDY)

Guys, this is the rooted version of the stock rom. I have added no other option. its plain stock rom with ROOT.

update.zip

Please thank itzmiandy bcos without his recovery nothing would have been possible. Thanks to itzmiandy for the inspiration, mentoring and testing the rom. Cheers bro.

Installation: use CWM recovery by itzmiandy available in the forum, add the update.zip to the sdcard root directory, go to recovery mode(volup+power buttons), wipe data and then flash the update.zip file, reboot

You can find ROMS for phones with specs that are similar to ours..

Yeah bro. I believe that too. this is not the first time we are seeing an A**hole. there are a few like that. Lets just do our best and leave it at that.

Default Tried my hand at making a ROM. Need a base Rom. Which is the best option?
Guys, i am pleased to report that i tried to make a ROM on the stock rom provided here. (update.zip). I was successfully able to flash it( just changed mlabs launcher to holo launcher) and it is working fine. But a better base ROM would be better. Anyone has the CM7 stock ROM?

CM7 for what device? It is still not ported for our device.

That's what i want help with. I dont think ICS can be ported for a87 so i am looking for a suitable cm7 to port. I read somewhere about a list of phones with specs similar to the micromax a87. Mayb a cm7 for those phones can be ported. Any suggestions?

This handset is similar to the following:

HTC Desire VC T328d
Huawei Ascend C8812
Hisense E910
It has the same processor as above

CM7 Development fot Hisense E910 Link

We can try to port from these.
I guess this is what you ment

hey guys i made some disasters in my A87 and now after i used restore factory the last time, all my apps vanished except a few like music,sound recorder etc. I did swipe data in recovery mode. on using ur update.zip file, it shows "signature verification failed" and "installation aborted". since there is no explorer apps i cannot browse my sd card nor can i install any other app. plz help how to disable signature verification..

Guys, i know i will sound very noobish when i ask help from you. I rooted my phone (micromax A87) and now got screwed. I am not able to start my phone again as it as got stuck at the welcome logo (spuerphone ninja)

can anyone pls help me in getting this rectified.
