Default Picture folders

I have looked and havent seen the answer but I apologize if I missed it.. My quesion concerns the picture folders. Is there any way to delete the All Pictures folder? There are some pics I wanna keep private and seperate from the other pics. Secondly is there a way to put one single pic as the folder Icon instead of showing 4 pics in the folder?

The default pictures folder on the Acclaim is DCIM. Inside of this, you will find three sub-folders, 100ANDRO, .thumbnails, and Camera. Any folders other then those were created by the user or by a 3rd party application. Deletion of folders created by an application install could cause the phone to become unstable. If you don't want folks to see pictures on your phone, move them off to a PC. The Gallery goes out and finds all supported picture images.

I am not aware at present of any way to just have one picture on the icon. There is nothing in the Gallery settings to do this.

Well that kinda stinks. I always have a naked pic or 20 of my wife on my phone. I would kinda like to be able to keep them in seperate folder from the pics of the kids. LOL

The default Gallery app was designed to locate and organize all the pics on your phone. I guess the developers weren't thinking of people wanting to hide porn when they wrote it. Check the Android Market, there is bound to be something there that will cloak your pics.

there are apps out there that will hide pics from your gallery. for example i use hide and seek i think its called. it is a cheep paid app but works great. shows up in the app drawer as a flashlight and when opened is nothing but a bright white screen. you have to press one of the soft keys 3x to pop up a menu for a password and then you can go in and view objects that you hid. a single click puts the item in bold and that lets you know that it cant be recognized by the gallery and a long press gives you the option to open and view it. i have seen other apps that are free out there but havent tried them. i have a nosy gf that likes my phone so i needed something with all the safeguards. you might not need something as complicated but there are apps out there that could solve that issue.

Android is Linux, and by default, Linux has a plan for hidden files. You simply place a dot ("." or period)as the first character of the filename. The problem comes, of course, when you later want to view these files. I am assuming that is what Hide and Seek does.
