Hello,
I just bout samsung, that I would like to root it, I am totally new to these things, I need help from u, to help me step by step, for example.

1- if i root my mobile, will i be able to retrieve my original rom, if yes, how

2- how do i root my phone.

3- and last question, i use to install whatsapp eveyday 2 times, is there any way where i can just hide this application or suspended, in a hidden way, so if some one search in my mobile he could not find it, or find the files.

u can use soc 1.7 to root ur phone... i ve attached it with the post... just open the app... then connect the phone and click root... wait for some time till popup of root complete comes... nd do not do the additional tests which popups... as initially ace doesn't grant the required superuser access... nd do not forget to REBOOT phone for changes to take place...

This file contains VIRUS... Its a crime to upload viruses in such kind of attachments which are downloaded by thousands of Android users.

Request Moderators to have a look at this on urgent basis.

I dont think so... it worked for me... and i use norton... and i ve just copy pasted from xda forums and the ppl out there wud never do this...

no virus there. i tried that soc didnt work for me tho i had to use odin.

once u root your phone u wont wanna go back.

you could put a password on the apps u dont want people snooping through!! download lock from market. light on cpu aswell. dont think there is an app that hides apps yet! :-) good idea though

How come everyone seems to be using the 1.7 version and not the latest one (1.9.1, released in april) ? Is there any advantage in using the older version?

I'm about to root my phone and scared ****less that I'll brick my phone so I need to be 100% sure I'm doing everything right.

One more question - if I root with OSC or Odin, will I be able to update my firmware through Kies once the official 2.3.3 fw comes out?

No, you must unroot and restore factory settings first.

Its a TROJAN virus with a name of 'Exploit-Android-Lotoor'.
