Wifi also stopped working, and would come up with ERROR whenever I turned it on. I installed the official Samsung firmware right after, but still had the same problems, so I unrooted and let Samsung fix it through their warranty.
My question is, did anyone else run into this problem? What could have caused this problem? I want to install CM7 and get superuser access again, because TouchWiz is just bloatware to me and I hate how it skins over everything. I just don't want to have to send my phone back to Samsung again is all.

Depends on which version of CM7 you installed. Right now there are only uinofficial ports. Although they have been updated and most the issues fixed they still have bugs.
Make sure if you do use one again (or a rom based on CM, or any other to that point) get the ROM from the origianal source. (not where someone has reblogged it) read all the info (especially about fixes and updates) and follow the instructions to the letter.
Ive been on CM7.x based roms for ages now with no issues.
CM 7.2 will get an official release soon.
