Question Unable to install Adobe Flash Player

I have an A500 tablet with Android 3.0.1 installed. I have a problem running Flash content in some applications, and I am hoping someone can tell me why.

When I use either the stock browser or Opera Mobile, I am unable to play any Flash content. I just get a line that says: “Cannot play media. You do not have the correct version of the Flash player: Download the correct version.” When I click the Download link, I am taken to the Adobe site where I am told: “Sorry Adobe Flash Player is not available for your device’s operating system or browser.”

I have tried to install Flash Player 10.3 from the Android Market, and I get as far as a window telling me that “This application requires no special permissions to run”, but then it fails to install.

I had just about given up, when I switched to the Dolphin HD browser and, lo and behold, it runs Flash content without a problem. Does Dolphin have its own inbuilt Flash player, or is there another reason why Adobe’s Flash Player will not install?

Thank you.
Paul.

I ran into this also when I tried to use the Amazon cloud drive you have to have flash to use it and I was able to kind of us Dolphin but it still didn't work right. Flash isn't yet compatible with this tablet. There is some form of flash on this tablet but not the normal flash program. At least that is what I gathered I finally gave up after trying every browser and all kinds of flash programs.

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash Player I had the same issue then I just Uninstall it and Reinstall it then it worked for me. There should be a updated version of flash when Honeycomb 3.1 comes out.....

Default Thanks for the suggestion...

I can't install the latest Flash, it remains in the uninstalled section. At least I can now watch Flash content in Dolphin (but Java won't even work there) so I will have to make do until these things are properly supported.
