Sure. Which region is your phone? Go to Settings-->About Phone-->Build Number. You will see a bunch of numbers followed by an EMEA.xxxx or AAP.xxxx or ROG or FIDO

EMEA=Europe/Middle East/Africa. AAP=Asia/Asia Pacific. FIDO/ROG=Canada (FIDO or Rogers).

Make sure the 2.2 update you are installing is correct for your region (for example, if your 2.1 build number has an EMEA.GEN1, your 2.2 build number must have an EMEA.GEN1).

If this does not work then what you can do is flash a bin by Acer tools (slightly risky but I have flashed alot of bins and never ran into any problems).

Find the .bin you want here (I'd recommend choosing the one specific for your region for warranty purposes but any region can be flashed onto your phone)- Acer Liquid & Liquid E ALL ROMs bin extract collection - Android @ MoDaCo

Follow this step by step guide- [TUTORIAL] How to flash .bin files on Acer Liquid/E - Android @ MoDaCo

If anything goes wrong during the process, unplug and replug the device (I know the guide says not to) but this thread says to- [TIP] Dont try to restart phone during flash if it looses connection, or u will have a bricked liquid! [MOD PLEASE STICKY!] - Android @ MoDaCo

Good luck.

Is it unplugged when you do it?

Make sure you have a full battery. Make sure the update is on your SD Card.

Shut it down, unplug it.
Remove and replace battery.
Power+Volume Down+Camera. Vibrates 2-4 times. Let go. Then Power+Camera.

Or you can always try re-downloading it. Maybe something went wrong with your connection during the download and the file got corrupted?

I just did my 2.2 update a few hours ago via the sd method. Go to the acer canada website and download the 2.2 update for Rogers (there's another one for FIDO). It comes with a detailed and simple instruction on how to download the files and transfer it to your sd storage. Once in your sd card, you can reboot your device and wait for a few minutes until the new OS restarts. Fairly simple and fast and better upgrade than our stock 2.1

Has your phone been sim unlocked or rooted or anything? I remember reading somewhere that the update did not work for people using it on telus. If so, update it through the method I described above.
