Attemping to Mod Ferrari
Hey guys,
A want to update my new Liquid E and have a few qs, but first some background:
I brought a Liquid E ferrari a few weeks ago and as soon as it came out of the box, it started to randomly reboot. It became more and more frequent until it switched off, and would boot at all! I used these forums to do a reset (camera, volume down + power -> camera + power) and it worked for an hour before doing the same thing... tried another reboot and it just started to vibrate and flash all the lights... GRRR long weekend... the phone only last a day and was returned!
Anyway I now have a replacement, that has worked beautifully for the last three weeks!
Because of the above I am a little frightened of updating my phone, I have read through these forums extenxively and have already been to the acer website and have downloaded the required files (and some patches) to install 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1.
So my question is:
How risky is this? Will it void my warranty? and will the 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1 version work on ferrari (in NZ)?
Thank you for any help you can give
