Question New Fido 2.2 Update?

I just got a text from Fido that there's been a new 2.2 update pushed out for the Acer Liquid E. Fixes a problem with "non-emergency municipal information services". Anyone installed it yet? I ain't gonna be Rogers/Fido's beta tester yet again.

I had the exact same problem on Saturday afternoon. I heard from the Fido store rep that there were a few people in recent weeks that came in with the same issue.

Mine uploaded fine. Its hard to tell if the fix took tho, its not like I can call 911 to see.

I had a false start, and it hung up at the Acer screen, but on second attempt it all went fine.

I upgraded my liquid E, on the Rogers network from 2.1 Update 1, to 2.2 and I have no issues with it at all. I find it has improved my phones performance overall (though it does say..

Model: Acer Liquid
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband Version: A1-05.01.07
Build Number: Acer_LiquidE_4.001.17_PA_ROG)

It uhm kind of bugs me that it says 2.2.2 lol makes me feel like I'm somehow missing out on something! lol.
