Hi Thor, Thanks for your reply. As I’ve discovered not all Android phones chargers and cables are compatible with each other, some require a micro USB cable and others a mini USB cable. The micro USB cable isn’t compatible with the Acer Liquid cell phone. In my case, the charger was working but the cable had been damaged so all I needed to replace was the mini USB cable. I went into a Fido store in Billings Bridge Plaza (Ottawa) last week and the person I spoke to was very helpful. He tested the charger and apparently, the charger itself was still working but the cable was damaged. Fido stores no longer carry the cables for Acer cell phones but he told me that I could obtain a mini USB cable from the electronics store, which was just a few stores down (The Source – an electronics store). He told me to make sure I purchased the MINI USB cable and not the MICRO USB charger; the micro USB charger is not compatible with the Acer Liquid E, I've noticed several cell phone accessory websites stating otherwise. Now if the charger itself had been damaged I’m not sure whether Fido would have been able to order it or not.
Originally, I had spoken to someone at Fido customer service and he told me that he didn’t think Fido carried Acer accessories; this is why I believed that I wouldn’t be able to purchase a charger or cable from them. This wasn’t the case however.
