His website still has not been updated, is there any new word? how is his child? hows the port? I just want to make sure the man is okay first off and so is his daughter and wife, the roms and what not comes second this is for sure but a small update on everything would be very much appreciated.

honestly ik family does come first but i dnt thing hes going to work on it anymore cause he has in the past worked on a different phone even though his daughter was sick. Its been a while since word from him...We have other developers that are great and working on stuff for us i would just forget about unforgiven.

Not to be rude in any way but this is exactly why i did not donate. I have had it happen before where I have sent a decent amount of money and then the dev skips out. I understand people have problems but I feel bad for the people who were kind enough to donate to him and got nothing in return.
I can understand that. But you know live and learn. I sent money to krylon when he first picked up the admire project. Then I sent money to Unforgiven when he started and now we are at mystery and a few others they/he will be sent money for there work. The end result is that we will have a nice rom or possibly many roms once the first is complete. especially now that we have cwm. It will get done.I am disabled and live on disability so i cant afford much. So I am glad for every upgrade I can get.

to be fair each person mentioned did do something and it didnt go to waste when you consider that all the work unforgiven did on CWM didnt go to waste as it then went to the other dev who finished it so even then the donations did go towards something but I know most of us were donating in the hopes of a CM7 and CM9 port.

well.. actually just to clear up some stuff. i knew unforgiven had been working on it as he was nice enough to tell me how to get into download mode. but earlier this week when i wanted to know where things where at i pm'ed unforgiven, i messaged him on irc and days went by without a response. so i was completely unaware that his code was available anywhere. as such when we started working towards what is now the current form of cwm.. we used the device files from the prevail when the prevail team was porting cm7.
so as nice as it was for him to have done all that work... in the end the only thing we used from him was how to get into download mode
well given light of some new information, I re-frame from my previous position and now agree that current actions by unforgiven is disappointing and should have been handled better even in light of his family troubles. I do still wish the best for his daughter but I think this has now changed my position on donations, as for myself I will donate on completion of work versus before.

You are exactly right PcFlip and Shabby to. I tried getting a hold of Unforgiven a few times also sent him emails and then I see he posts on google+ about the website seizure. I now know not to donate till we have something in hand.
Ok, I went through all of the steps, everything checked out as far as the instructions go, but, when I boot into recovery, it does not say Clock Work Mod, there is the option to install from Zip, but not many options, such as Backup, any information is appreciated...

The admire is now an amazingly attractive price at 59 bucks! I am still on what's left of my ascend. If this phone has any dev following so as to reach its potential then I would buy it tomorrow! But if not I might as well put the money aside and save for at least the attain which is 4g. So devs, where are we at with this phone?

Hey, everyone... for SOME reason I rooted this the day that the STOCK ROM without CWM was rooted and then got the Esteem and have had this set aside for about a month now and i just booted into the Recovery and I have CWM LoL never installed it on this device. Now I know what I am doing(Not To Be Disrespectful But More Than MOST People Know) and I find this weird LoL. I just checked and do in fact have Root and am on CWM but dont know how CWM got onto this device LoL it didnt have it when i purchased but it DOES have it now. I put root onto the device but not CWM. I am actually using root checker, TiBU, ROM Toolbox, and Root Explorer to move, delete and all that right now!
Well, for whatever reason, I still have not been able to get my phone to boot into CWM, followed the steps exactly 5 times now, phone re-boots but will only boot into normal recovery...I don't have a clue as to why...

Um... you seem to be in the wrong thread....
You need to be in the [Odin] thread.
If you are having issues try a new download.
If they persist try a different computer. I couldn't get Odin to work on my XP based laptop but my brothers new windows 7 lappy worked just fine.

clock work comes on alot of phones but it doesnt have the option to flash a zip file or any of those things. it wont do you any good. and if you know more than MOST people on here then why arent you a dev?

actually NO device comes with cwm. even the lg optimus that republic wireless sells (comes with cm7) but puts stock recovery back on

Some people in the FBI might consider what unforgiven did as fraudulent You need to look at it from the FBI's and what are now considered victims point of view these victims gave him money under the pretense that he would work on and finish CM7 for the Samsung Admire he has not he could avoid charges by returning the money that he accepted under false pretense. I'm not one of the people that gave money to him but I do no the FBI is investigating.
Can anyone help me with trying to fix my phone? I've got a rooted Admire and can get to CWM, I trashed my build.prop and now my phone will start the boot up but once it gets to the Hello,hello,hello Metropcs for everyone it then goes blank and starts vibrating and won't stop.
I had Admiral Beast installed and screwed up when trying to boost the speed with replacing the build.prop. bottom line is my phone is bricked and I need a solution if anyone knows one. Also I tried running Admiral Beast from my sd card but it won't run because I can't get debugging started is there a workaround for this?

It would be that simple if the phone/SD would show on the computer.
Like you said can't even get USB Debug turn on..without it we are limited as to what we can do.
My suggestion honestly...wait for the new phone to arrive. We could try a million different things and still not get it working.

Yeah I've tried the Odin return to stock, thats how I got CWM to work. I can get my sd card to open on the computer now but cannot get debugging to start, admiral beast won't run without debugging enabled. If I can't get a fully stock rom it will only be 1 or 2 days till the new phone comes in anyway. I want to Thank You guys for all the help you've given.
