I am running around 100mb internal memory free and 45mb rom memory available and have no complaints.
Now with the newer more "bad ass" version of your ROM will it be the same steps to install or will it be able to over write what I have already on the phone? I don't understand due to this being my first smartphone.[/SIZE]

Generally android roms are flashed from clockwork mod.
If the rom is the same verision of android as the one being flashed over you can normally backup your user data and restore it.
What we've been using is a side loaded style rom edit.
As a full rom (hopefully available on rommanager in the future) its most likely going to be a cwm flash similar to flashing a theme.
This is just my speculation based on experience.
