Blinkig light

Hi, i'm new here and i'm not good in english, excuse me.
My question is, is there a blinking light on the Alcatel OneTouch OT-908 to informe me that there's a new vocal message or SMS? The PDF file says that the "home buttom" should blink but mine still dead, i want to be shure that this option is offert on my phone before i contact my resaler.
