Default Question on switching back to velocity

I want to switch from raptor back to velocity .3. except that after putting raptor on i downloaded a new kernel. Can I put velocity on with the kernel I have now or do I have to change it to one from the velocity post? and if I do have to change it, do I change it before or after changing the rom to velocity?

Use the kernel that Trident posted in the Velocity 0.3 release.

Wipe data and caches as you normally would, flash the ROM then the kernel, then reboot.

I don't really understand what you mean when you say flash rom and kernel then reboot, when do I install the rom and new kernel through rom manager. Do you mean go to install new rom, flash the rom then install it then flash and install kernel? Or do you mean I need to do this all from recovery?

you must do this all from recovery and you could use the GNM-Turbo 2.6.29.6 kernel

[GPL] LG Ally Kernel 2.6.29.6_GNM_OC

Save the zip onto the base of your SD card (don't put in any folder) and install the zip through your recovery.
