I installed this modded version of the stock messaging app on my ally. Everything works great except i cannot receive mms messages. I don't know if i can send them i haven't tried. If someone can figure out how to make it work i would appreciate it. O I'm currently rooted and running Velocity 0.3. Thanks

Has anyone confirmed to you that this is for/works on the Ally? This appears to be built for the Droid 1. I could be wrong but from everything I've read, and all the references to Cyanogenmod, I would guess this is only functional on the D1.

Have you tried Handcent or Chomp SMS?

I'm currently using Handcent and would never go back to the stock messaging app. Handcent has a ton of customization options and is more responsive than the stock MMS, IMO.

ive tried both and like handcent a little. the stock one is more responsive on my phone and the changes that were made to it in that apk are nice. i was hoping someone could find a way to make it work for us.
