Default Noob here....I desperately need some help!!

I am running Velocity 1.2 and needed to return to stock ROM. I tried restoring stock 2.2.2 but got errors saying could not find update file and then I got some brilliant idea to try the All In One Recovery. Now if I try to boot in recovery it gets stuck on the beginning LG screen and I have to take the battery out. I no longer have 3G either. I have no idea what I did wrong and now I can't get anything to work. Ideas??? Help???

You didn't try flashing a Nandroid, did you?
nandroids arent flashed, they are placed in a folder on your SDcard called nandroid/mem=223m
and then used through the backup/restore menu.

Please explain how far you can get your phone to boot, and whether you can get into recovery, and i can help you from there.

No, I didn't try flashing a nandroid, I tried to restore one with no luck. I have since tried the LG Updater approach and now the phone is stuck on the white screen that says "Downloading, do not unplug" and the updater will get to about 4% and then says there is a connection problem with the phone and to take out the battery and unplug then try again. I have tried this 10+ times with absolutely NO luck. Am I screwed??

You are not screwed until your phone won't turn on at all. Try this guide: [GUIDE][LGNPST] Alternate V6 Restore Method [Updated 5-24-11]
and report back with results. And maybe hop into the IRC channel sometime for live help.

same thing happened to me when i first got my ally, and the way it turned out for me is that i had to revert back to stock, wiping the MEID and number of the phone. So basically you CAN get out of this loop your in, but you won't be able to use the 3g anymore (not sure if wifi will still work)
