Default Word of the day... Brick

I keep seeing people say they've bricked their device and after ward saying they have fixed it. Well color me pink and slap me silly, your a genius if you've brought back a bricked device ^_^

The term brick simply means this...
Power on equals nothing/ no response

There is such thing as soft brick as well which means you erased the system memory but not the startup iso or boot image, which is used to boot into the bootloader or recovery to save your device.

You can brick a psp, wii, tablet, mobile device. Anything that has nand and internal rewritable memory.

Speaking of bricks...
No i didnt brick my ally, however its ticking down to its final hours. My screen will shut off after like 20 seconds and will require a battery pull to restart it. This is affecting my development time so i might disassemble my ally and rebuild it as a flat test board for application and ally development. I have 2 spare 10inch touch screens from my tablet days... maybe i can create a tablet version of the ally o.o but that would take some time. Or just find and trace the shorts and bypass them with a few jump wires.
