I'm sorry to announce that people can no longer apply for the beta of this application and at the same time I would like to thank all the people who have been willing to try the application and send me their feedback, without you I wouldn't have been able to get on with this application.

Hello folks!

As the title already indicates, I am looking for people who are interested in testing a Digimon / Tamagotchi style application on their devices.

Up until now I have only been able to test the application on my own device and I am quite interested in seeing how it behaves on different devices, hence I am writing this post.

There are a few things I would like to ask the people willing to test my application. Firstly, I would like people to notify me if they find a bug, secondly I would (if possible) like people to send me a screenshot of game running on their phone along with the phone model and last of all, I would like to hear the people's opinions of the application.

People who would like to test the application, just send me a PM or post a reply and I will send you a download link.

Basic information

• Around 750Kb in size
• Runs no background services
• Has no Widget support as of yet
• Runs in landscape mode only
• Has 16 animals in total
• This being a Beta, animals will die after reaching the age of 10

Permissions

1. Storage
   Save backup save files to the SD card.
2. Network Communication
   create Bluetooth connections.
3. Phone Calls
   Read the SDK version of the phone.
4. System Tools
   Turn Off and On Bluetooth on your phone.
5. Account information
   User Accounts are used to link save files to.

I installed the app on my Motorola Triumph using Android 2.2.2 with no problems. Everything looks great so far, I'll update my post with more info after using your app for a couple of hours.

Hi, I've been playing the classic pet for a while.
It took me back to the old tamagotchi times.
Interesting. My pet is now some kind of octopus and has 14 years. I tought it would last only 10 years, but that is ok.
Having fun so far, Works perfectly in my galaxy s2.

Congrats for yuor app man. If you need me to test something on the game, let me know.

I have been searching all over the internet for something like this. I have an IPhone and am obsessed with finding a classic tamagotchi styled app for my phone and have been unsuccessful in doing so. Will this app work on my phone?

Thanks for your reply, it is nice to hear that the tamagotchi seems to work flawlessly on you device. As for the age, after the first beta version, I pumped up the age to somewhere around 20. Or I could have even sent you a version with no age cap by mistake :P

There isn't much that needs to be tested at the moment, I just wanted to see how the app worked on different devices and it sounds as if it does, for some anyway :P Once again, thanks for testing and have fun playing around with the app! Keep trying to get different pets :P

There are more things to come in the future ( such as a Colosseum mode where one can fight matches against a NPC pet ).



I'm sorry to say that this is an Android application and that it will not work on your iPhone. Of course I would like to port it to the iPhone some time in the future but at the moment I lack the resources to do so.

I'm sorry to inform you that the beta period has ended

However, the application will soon be released on the Android Market. That is, some time later this week or in the course of next week.

When the app is released I will update the first post of this topic and update my twitter and blog, so if you want to be notified of when the app is out, just subscribe to any of those.

I tried to download the digimon game, but I can't remember if it said not available to download or not available for my country.

I tried it 2 weeks ago.

I live in Gibraltar which is in Europe.
