Just here to open up an invitation for a private testing period for Open Garden Beta. Briefly: Open Garden currently has an app on the Market called Open Garden WiFi Tether. We are still maintaining this app, but our real mission is this upcoming application that will allow for non-rooted users to tether in addition to some other neat concepts. With Open Garden Beta, users will either create or join a mesh-network through each device having the app installed. If you want to give internet to an array of devices, join a community of Open Garden users to optimize everyone's bandwidth usage or link up two existing devices with their own internet connections to create faster speeds.... then we've got an app for you! Think p2p bandwidth sharing... help us generate a community of users that want to share their internet (maybe you have an unlimited data plan?) and use that extra bandwidth that becomes available when you need it most (downloading large files)!
We are accepting applications at forum.opengarden.com. We ask you to register to the community and apply by clicking the Beta Testing link at the top of the site.
