Default Fire TV: Other than voice search..

Does this have anything really compelling to anyone that the regular Amazon apps on say, the Wii U and other devices, doesn't offer?

I can't see the point, myself.

I'm guessing the ASAP feature that predicts what you want to watch. Also the second screen stuff that shows you info about what you're watching on a tablet or smartphone. This also seems to be the only device that lets you buy or rent movies and TV shows without having to go to the Amazon site (which is something that always annoyed me about their existing apps).

I have several.

The ASAP sounds good and might work for hard drive movies as well.
The thing acts like Chromecast
It can let you play your games on the big screen, I can do this today VIA my current Android TV stick but this is way more powerful.
It has all the major players out of the box.
It seems to be very fast!
It isn't a flashy look at me box which I like, it'll fit in nicely.
Out of all the current Android TV sticks it's the only one backed by a major player.
The remote looks like it might work, unlike Vizio's.
And I am betting that you wont need to by the joystick if you already have one like it, which I do
