So I have my 7" KF HD Rooted. I have GoLauncherHD running on it. I have reinstalled the kindle fire app so that it is working now. I am carosuel free, which is great. Help me with...


1. How do I get wallpapers on this thing? The app I use on my phone isn't working, and there are only three lame ones built in to go launcher.

2. One of the reasons I rooted this thing in the first place is to get a decent keyboard, preferably swype, on here. How do I do that?

3. Do I need to install droidwall to keep an update from un-rooting me? If so, which apps need to be blocked?

to answer some of your questions... to set wallpapers as far as i know you can download dolphin browser and long press on an image it will give you the option to set as backround. as far as 3rd party keyboards i havnt seen it done yet. but if anything new pops up ill be sure to let everyone know . hope this helps :] also if you need dolphin browser which is also compatible with flash here it is Dolphin BrowserŽ HD 8.5.1 - APKTOP

I've read in a couple of places that Swype won't work on KFs - apparently the touchscreen isn't set up for it? (I have no personal knowledge about this - just things I've read on online forums.)

Bill,

You heard incorrectly. Swipe is already on the KFHDs. Simply press and hold the "," button on the keyboard when it appears. This allows you to toggle through several keyboards. Mine is currently utilizing Swipe.
