Default Transfer APK from rooted droid x to Fire?

I have copied all my backups from Astro from my droid x, Can I move applications to the fire VIA USB?

Yup. Plug in phone and kindle via usb. Create a folder (I call it my apps) on the kindle and copy/paste the .apk into there. Use ES file explorer (free from app store) to browse to the .apk and hit install.

Alternatively, if you don't have 2 open usb or 2 micro cables, you can drag to your Pc from the phone and from there to your fire.

You didn't even need to create the backup apks first All you needed.to do was install Frostwire on both devices ( you don't even need to sideload it on the Fire - it's available on the Amazon App Store).

Then, when both devices are using the same WiFi, you could download the apps from the phone to the Fire wirelessly. And then install them.
