Default Looking for advice on parental controls.... Kindle Fire

I purchased a Kindle Fire for my 13 year old son last week. I would like to have some kind of control on what my son puts on his device and/or purchases.

I have set him up with his own Amazon account but have found he cannot even download free apps without a 'payment option'.

Does anyone have any suggestions or help with this? I think it would be perfect if he approaches me for something and I could just purchase it or download it with a password without him (or anyone else) having access to everything.

THIS might do the trick. If you're not going to install the android market let me know and I will download it and then upload somewhere so you can get.

You can use a wifi password. Another option would be a prepaid Visa card.

I'd love to run something like that on my kids phone but it's rooted and he'd be around it in no time. It might be better to find something like a keylogger to see what they've done as opposed to locking the whole thing down. Big brother watching is all it takes to keep them clean.
Wife walks in...

Wife: Hey what are you doing?
me: Nada, phones finally rootable.
Wife: Ugh....
