I have an original Kindle Fire that amazon was nice enough to replace with a same model due to an issue with the screen. This will arrive tomorrow.

I know that when I receive the new Kindle Fire I can simply log in with the same account and all apps from the Amazon App store will be available for download to the new Kindle Fire.

My question is what about the app settings? For example, will Plants vs Zombies and Minecraft, etc all be reset to brand new?

There are 3rd party apps that will backup/restore general app data, although I don't know how they handle encrypted stuff. Wasn't an issue for me since none of my apps used encrypted data.
