Google Play experiment
Playing around on my unrooted kindle fire (don't currently see the point in rooting and I am hoping to upgrade to a Nexus 7 at Christmas and pass this tablet on to my son) I managed to install the Google Play store after obtaining the apk from androidpolice.com
However when it comes to "adding an account to the device to continue" the application merely closes down after spending maybe 1 second "loading"
I was attempting this just to see if it could be done without rooting, but it looks like amazon has covered that base, which I am sure after posting this people will say "well duh!" but I just thought I would mention it.
Thus ends what is possibly my most pointless post
