Hi, I have a question which has got me scratching my head! I have someone who wants to use a Broadband dongle on an Android tablet. Unfortunately the tablet does not have 3G capabilities and the user does not want to connect using WiFi.

Does anyone know if this is possible? None of the main manufacturers (Huawei) seem to offer the dongles in an Android version.

I think it depends on the tablet an or software version. There are certain models of tabs which allow you to connect a dongle to them (the Asus TF101G I believe), but by and large, it's not a very common feature.

What network/Country are you in? I know 3 in the UK offer a sort of portable WiFi hotspot, is that an option?
