Today, I just got my Samsung HDTV Smart Adapter (the one specifically made for the S3) in the mail. I set up the connection according to the instructions, and my phone says "HDMI cable connected". However, the picture on my TV blinks on and off every 2-3 seconds. I've had the same problem with my previous adapter, which I thought to be faulty, so I conclude that the problem has to lie with my HDTV. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a setting on my TV/phone that I need to adjust?

Welcome to the forums hicks31. I have not had this issue before but 2 things you could try.
1. try it on a different tv to see if the issue is the tv or the phone
2. if you have your tv set to 1080 the phone might not be able to handle that. see if you can set the tv to 720.
