Question read qr code in android browser?

Hi there,

I'm new to Android, so please forgive me if this is too simple: is there a way to scan qr codes directly in the android browser? I.e. can I use an app link code directly without having toopen the page on another system and to scan it from there?

TIA

supposedly you can use this app to do that - save the qr code image to the phone/SD, and then used the app to read the file.

That save then read app didn't work for me, couldn't get it to open the link, it just displayed it.

Happy

Hi,

You can do this directly from the Android browser using its "Share" feature with an app named "QR Droid".

AndroLib link
Market link

- In the Browser, long-click the image and select "Save image"
- After downloaded, open image from notification bar
- Select Menu > Share > "Decode with QR Droid"

I hope this helps
