App access Circle launcher - I keep this on my home screen for all of the apps that I might like to keep close at hand. Very attractive and highly functional. SwipePad - Set up a hotspot on your screen and you can call up a grid of 12 apps to access from anywhere on your phone. There are several paid-for extras (for example to expand the number of apps on the grid from 12), of which I've only bought the AppLauncher, which lets you appoint the app drawer from one of the grid spots.
Tools Airdroid - Many others have talked about it and it is a great app. Essentially performs a similar role to Samsung's "Kies Air", which lets you control various of your phone's functions from your computer over the wi-fi network. aTimer - A grid of 15 configurable timers and stopwatches. You can label each individually too, if you like.
Calendar aCalendar - A nice, clean and well-laid-out calendar app. I now use it in preference to HTC's built-in one. The developer seems to have put a lot continued work and thought into improving it.
Search CloudMagic - A centralised search function to trawl through your Google and Twitter accounts. It works well, but doesn't support as many different account types as Greplin (but Greplin doesn't have an android app). Evi - The best natural-language voice search app (think Siri-alike) I've used so far on Android. It had some initial server connection issues, but they have now been fixed. It doesn't perform voice actions, but it's worth a look. Google Gesture Search -Allows you to search your phone for contacts, apps or bookmarks by drawing figures on the screen. You can activate it by turning the phone over and back again (although this drains the battery faster).
Location Glympse - Location sharing done right. Share your location for a user-determined period of time or until you reach a set destination. Your location can be sent out to phone numbers, email addresses and even Facebook. Highly recommended.
Camera/gallery Actionsnap - Lets you turn your phone into one of those Lomography cameras with multiple lenses that puts multiple images on the same frame. It makes for some pretty cool effects. Pano - A great app for making panoramas - the stitching on this is excellent. My Sensation hasn't got an upgrade to ICS yet, so I don't know how this compares to the stock panorama utility on Android 4.0 Photo Calendar - I find scrolling through all of my photos to find the most recent ones annoying, so this organises your shots by day. Very useful and well presented.
Media ReadItLater - I send so many things from either my Twitter feed or Google Reader to this. It saves article-style pages to your phone and to their website (which also has Firefox and Chrome add-ons available, so you can sync a bunch of different pages for later reading easily). It cleans up the layout, removes ads and gives you just what you want. Pretty much perfect. Spool - Similar to ReaditLater (above), but for richer media like videos, etc. Not as fast, for obvious reasons, and the layout work isn't quite as good. However, the app is relatively new and they're still working on it, so it's worth a try. Sensor Music Player - It allows you to use various of your phone's sensors to control your music's playback. Extremely cool. Youtube Remote - Lets you control your Youtube viewing on your laptop or other screen from your phone or tablet.

I agree that's how I like lists. Not only showing the description for the app but also a quick link to the source/Android market page.
As for sleeping's List,
Circle launcher I use this also and it comes in handy on tablets.
Airdroid, I like its view, but for some reason does not show my contact list on my Photon.
aCalendar, I think I have found my replacement calendar.
Photo Calendar all I can say is wow. I love it.
Now let me add a few more..
Recently when I click on the MyApps link in the Market on my Photon 4G phone, it does not show anything. With the "Best Apps Market" app I am able to and the interface is more pleasing than the actual Android Market.
The apps for you feature is very useful and actually shows apps that have been better recommended than the one currently on the phone.
It also has..
A nice Widget to place on home screen.
Ample settings.
Allows a nickname to be used when signing comments.
Also adds a direct shortcut in the apps drawer to your apps.
Combine this with the developers' other app titled "One! Best Recommendations" and your search and management of apps is complete.

The conversation was about aCalendar. I gave it a spin today and loved it. In fact, I un-installed Business Cal to make room for this one
I was funning with Blkblt message #2417, lol. Its a running joke.
Since youve used Business Calendar and now lime aCalsndar even more, could you please post bulleted items where aCalendar trumps Business Calendar? Id like to read these.
So far, I just cant tare away from my Business Cendar. I have 6 different callendars activy attached... One of which contain retro dates and events as far back as 2003 where these have either monthly or yearly evens scheduled.....
I think it boils down to "preference-based-on-feel," not much more than that. Granted, as pat mentioned above, BizCal has a lot more options and it is more robust, but for my needs aCal, being leaner, is perfect. I especially like the weekly look, it reminds me of my old Treo

my favorite app is called "autoforum", search it in the market, it's very cool. it's a forum that discusses cars. (powered by the same software as this forum). my second favorite app is probably BGR which is a great tech news source

Just downloaded Best Apps Market and it is great. Very easy for moving apps to card and the recommendation of apps based on what you already have is also tremendous. Good find - thanks.

You hit it right on the head... its more of preference based on feel. I for one, have attachments to BizCal, like you, because it reminds me of other apps and devices i had before. Plus, Ive got so much stored and built arouned BizCal that I am content with it. Plus there some features Ive not tapped into yet and its good to knnow i can 'discover' these features as time and the need arise.

well my favorite application so far is, JEFIT PRO...as its really cool and great app which helped me a lot when am working out at home..it is my everyday trainer...i love that app..i hope u should try too...

What is the difference between JEFIT and JEFIT pro?
I tried "ONE", looked promising, but half the recommendations on the 1st page are for free versions of the Pro version I already have. I'm thinking it's not recognizing all the free "Pro" versions I got at Amazon. I must say I like Appbrain better. Easy to sort by rating and see what's "best" in any category.

Yeah I can see that but if you don't know just ask or if the app is free just give it a try
Or people could just give a short description of the app with a link like a lot of us do, that way it saves others time by not having to write multiple posts just to ask something that should have been included in the first place.
Also, a lot of us don't have the unlimited time needed to go to the market to check on and download every app we have a question about.

Needed to scan and email something urgently. My scanner was not working for whatever reason, then I remembered I downloaded camscanner ages ago and never used it until now. So good! I love technology!

I would love to get Wolfram Alpha! Unfortunally, I don't have a creditcard though. I'll have to wait until my carrier makes app buying by phone available.

It work and wolfrom alpha is. Worth 300% the money they charge for it its amazing knowledge data base and for math or science questions its amazing not only does it give you the answer but. It gives. You a. Step by step to get the answer so you can do it yourself next time

That's why I never tried it. Long press the search button and just say what I'm looking for. Google finds everything!
Here are my ten... nothing new though for most of you:
Having used my Android phone for about a year now, the Android Market is getting less exciting to me. While there are new apps everyday, I already have a stable of apps which I count on which I consider useful among the 400,000+ available apps.
I did not include in my list the dialer, SMS, calendar, FriendStream (Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn), news reader, calculator and flashlight apps as I use the default apps installed on my phone. These are proprietary HTC apps, which are not downloadable from the market. These are my most used Android Market apps:
1. Swiftkey (Paid).For five years before going to a touchscreen phone I used phones with full physical QWERTY keyboards. I do not think that I will ever type us fast on a touchscreen as I did with a physical QWERTY keyboard. Swiftkey, with its excellent word prediction helps a lot. It learns your habits and can even predicts whole words for you before you type the first letter of the next word. Give it a try.
2. Gmail (Pre-installed/Free). For Gmail users, the best email app is Google Gmail app. It basically gives you the same degree of functionality as if you were on your desktop.
3. Dropbox (Free).Drop box keeps my files in synced between my desktop replacement and ultraportable laptop and allows my phone to access the files synced. You get 2 GB of web storage free, but can work your way up to 10 GB via referrals and tasks. Sign up through this link, and you start out with 2.25 GB
4. Google Maps (Pre-installed/Free).We all need maps. This is the best around and it is free. Google Maps includes, Navigation, Places and Latitude. Places is particularly useful telling you what Restaurants, Bars and Cafes nearby and helps you find them.
5. ColorNote (Free).ColorNote is great for taking notes and keeping check lists. You can create multiple notes and lists. For task lists, you can create a widget which tells you how many tasks you have undone. Only thing missing is that Task Lists not sync with Google Tasks or any other online back-up.
6. ReadItLater Pro (Paid).I use this is conjunction with my Twitter app. I save interesting link to articles here and read them using ReadItLater. While ReadItLater can sync to your other devices I use ReadItLater to read them because it present articles in a nice format for handheld reading as opposed to the web page view.
7. ezPDF Reader (Paid).The key feature of this PDF reader is text reflow. It can wrap the text on PDF documents so they fit the boundaries of the screen.
9. Picsay Pro.There are plenty of great photo editing apps on the Android Market. Picsay Pro is the best in my opinion. Try the free version. The Pro Version is much better and worth the money.
10. Screen Lock (Free/Donate). I use this to lock my phone using the capacitative search button. This saves some wear on tear on my power button. Free app is fully functional, but I got the donate version. Wanted to support the developer.
