I would have to say that locale is my favorite app so far. I had some trouble with it being inconsistent last week, but now it seems to be running smoothly. I'm saving battery power by having it turn off my WiFi settings while I'm at work, during work hours.
The second best would have to be Bonsai Blast, which is a more complicated and challenging game than I expected.
Wow, this discussion has been very active since its October 2008 inception! I know I keep coming back to learn about new apps and get real user reviews where we can actually get feedback unlike Google Play where you never really know which reviews are legit!

With the change of the weather here. I have found myself back into Books a lot more as I do every year during the Fall and Winter Seasons,as of late these are what I have been using.
Just made the switch to Android 2 months ago, from a Blackberry. Bought a Galaxy S3, and love it. A few of the apps I use all the time:
AntiVirus - Lookout Antivirus. It's small, realtime scans, and has never yet had false positives (so far). They update it frequently as well, and have good support, and best of all it's free.
Anti-Other - Lookout Ad Network Detector. Scans installed apps and lets you know which networks and pushes they have, and what information the apps can glean from your phone (and send to the web). Very useful, as I tend to download and try alot of apps.
Tasks - Advanced Task Manager. Nice and small, streamlined, and easy to use. Lets you customize which apps to kill, and which to allow to run. One tap kill widget makes it super easy.
Internet - Google Chrome. Used it to replace the stock browser almost immediately. It's faster, better laid out, and sync's with your PC Chrome, so you can seamlessly continue reading the page you were on when you have to leave, etc.
News - FlipBoard. It's a stock app with the S3, but is very good, nicely laid out, and has a good mix of interesting stories.
- Red Orbit. Mostly science, space, and tech news. Updated regularly, quick on my LTE connection.

Same here! I like trying out new apps and occassionally switching to an app that does the job better or with lesser permissions. It also makes myy android feel like a brand new baby again!
Speaking of a Shiney Brand New ANDROIDIAN fresh off the conveyor belt! Doesnt Android whip all others?!
I've used "GO Launcher" for the past 2 years on 3 devices. I started using "ssLauncher" on my Nexus 7 and have now uninstalled GO. So much more "tweaking" you can do with SS....
resize any icon
change any icon (name, font, color, image)
put icons anywhere (no grid)
overlap icons (with "bring to back/front" option)
customize app drawer (as a screen)
built-in clock, time, battery%
to name just a few cool things. Also just switched to Solid Explorer.

Love it! Ive been an ES FILE EXPLORER fan from day 1 (since 2011). But TopCat turned me on to a NEW File Explorer today.
QUESTION: How to make the custom folder color stick? Ive tried changing from default-blue to A bronze color?

You mean like this?
Mine sticks, make sure you hit "set" after you tweak the color.
edit: I just had a thought, did you buy it? There may be some non functional things in the free version. One of the few apps I purchased!

Yes, Ive hit the "set", but like you've said, it must he a purcyased full version function.
Do you have a list of non-available fumctions that you could share with the discussion? It would be most helpful.
I used the free for a day and decided to buy (since I had free money)... but looks like the list at the Play store are what the paid version adds:
- no ads
- copy & paste of shortcuts
- crop icons and images
- additional formatted text
- additional page transition animations
- supports application parcel(folder) without limitation
Don't forget to "Save" your theme once in a while. It's a nice feature and doesn't get rid of your previous save, so you can restore older themes you created.
edit: Now that I think about your question, I think you were talking about Solid Explorer? I have the free version of it, I don't think there are any differences other than ads on it.

I was wondering if you could post your favorite jogging apps. I tried searching for some, and for now I used the free version of Cardio Trainer. I like how it has voice guiding information and how it updates me every 100m and every 1minute.
But the most important thing for me is the facebook integration of such an app. You can post your track after you finish your running session (and even afterwards, because it keeps a history of all your previous sessions) on facebook, but even though it says that the Map with the running track is posted, it doesn't appear. Yes, it has an option to post from the fewest information to even including the calories you burned, but what it lacks is mainly the option to also display an "average" running speed.
So here I am asking some of you if you know a good app which will surely display the Map and something like Average running speed when sharing your performance on facebook.
Here's a screenshot of how the post appears on facebook using Cardio (please ignore my poor performance ):

Endomondo is one of the best of Android, and it has the option to share workouts to facebook. There is also a free version you can try first.

Business Calendar - I sync my work calendar with Google Calender
Color Notes - Keeps all my lists synced between my phone and tablet.
Percent Calculator - Was a free app one day on Amazon and I use this all the time.
QuickPic - Best photo viewing app for android!

Wifi File Exp Pro - Best way to move files to my tablets and phones from my PC.
Keepass - Best password manager, plus keep your DB on Dropbox and you can access it from anywhere.
MX Player Pro - Best Video player I have found.
Calculator Widget Pro - Missed the HTC one when I got my S3, this is pretty close.
Tune In Radio Pro/Pandora - need music for at work.
Shazam - Beats Soundhound in my opinion.
Aldiko Prem - Best e-read (kindle app sucks).

Does it work? I used Shazam Encore for years and loved it until a few months ago when it stopped working. I'm not the only one, look at all the recent reviews on Google Play. I agree it is better than Soundhound, but when it won't even start it is no good. I just downloaded Soundhound today and uninstalled Shazam Encore.

Yes, I am using the one I got from Amazon as a free app of the day. It just updated last week and I used it this morning in a car to identify a song.
I just tried to install Solid Exploreer on my Optimus-V, and the folder color change doesn't stick on that either. Seems to not auto-restart to set that option, as it does on Jelly Bean. I can live with blue on my small screen, I seldom use it.

Thanks for SSLauncher. Just downloaded it and have been playing with it for awhile. It's awesome. It's very unique and many features built into one launcher. Highly suggest it to those who love customizing and playing around with the look of your phone.
Really enjoying 'Spectrum Puzzles' at the moment. Simple concept (basically a jigsaw), but it's done with real style and is a great way to while away an hour or two.
The TD Ameritrade App is pretty awesome too for viewing potential Stocks to buy. Although I wouldn't trust making a trade on an app. Best leave that to the computer.
Really enjoying Koi Live Wallpaper. I normally don't like live wallpaper because of battery drain, but I use it as my system wallpaper, so with ssLauncher with static images on each screen, this shows up only on my lockscreen. I do have 1 extra Launcher screen it's on to play with (feeding fish and playing in the water). Doesn't use a lot of battery as long as you're not playing with it much. Full version well worth 99 cents (especially if you have a little Play money left).

Thats why i dropped Gmail and went with Enhanced Email. It allowed me to clean up those 100+ even 1000s of emails sitting in my folders with one cleen sweep! No more one-at-a-time.
You can also get a "select all/delete all" with K-9 Email (free)

LightFlow would be good if it wasn't such a battery hog :S
