Default List Maker

I just tried this: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.softlightsolutions.SoftlightCheckLi st&feature=search_result

Only 1 review so far (mine)... but if you're looking for a simple notepad or list maker, I think you'll like this one. "Noodles" is almost identical, not quite as "pretty", but has a few extra features.

From the reviews, ShootMe sounds kinda' hit and miss on unrooted phones. Some work and some don't. Might be worth a try though. If it doesn't work you can delete it.

I'll let you know how it goes on an unrooted Incredible

Ok - unrooted Incredible won't even let me open it. It installs, it opens, then it gives a bunch of crap about the developer not being liable if you screw up your phone - gives the Accept or Decline -I hit accept and it basically tells me to take a leap since I'm not rooted

Strange Shootme works unrooted randomly (it's always worked on my Intercept and Optimus). I also noticed that Boat Browser can take shots within the browser, works great:

With No Root Screenshot It, you need to have a USB connection to your computer to set up the program to start with, but after that you don't need to connect to the computer any more. You can set the phone up to do a screen shot by shaking the phone, start it from the status bar, or a long press on search. You can view it with a file app like Astro, or in the gallery. Sorry for the enthusiasm, but I've missed this feature on the TBolt.

Good to know - I'm going to have to borrow my dad's cord to do this (I can't find mine)

In all of these pages I'm sure this has been mentioned before but I'll mention it again: Drop Box

Allows you to share photos, documents whatever between your phone and your computer. And it's free.

It displays caller id even if they're not in your contacts, also displays messages you get, searches names and numbers, updates the addresses in your contacts list, connects your contacts with facebook and has a call filter for spam numbers. Not in the market that I can find, but here's a link, or you can Google it.

I have no idea about using it to block numbers. I love having a caller ID on my phone for numbers not in my phone book. For call blocking I use "root call blocker" as it is the best call blocking app on the market.

I don't know if it works on rooted phones, but True Caller does have a call filter to block calls. You can block calls from filtered numbers that you add and also block unknown callers. So far, I don't get any calls from any 800 numbers or anyone I want to block, so I don't know how well it works, or if it blocks 800 numbers or not. You can try it for free. It's a 2.99 one time fee, no monthly charge. They also have a new beta version they are getting ready to release.

TrueCaller - Caller ID for your mobile with TrueCaller

What's the new phone going to be?

The government has been pushing towards taxing the Internet and with their recent announcement about hiring something like (estimated to be) 16,000 new agents (most to collect Obama Care debts; the IRS loves huge fines and late fees) so perhaps the massive buildup will be to help collect digital sales taxes as well.

I agree.

I use DB for things like diagrams, sheet music, session schedules, personal schedules, contracts, pictures, and the like. I must still keep my word and text documents on a disk or SD Card for legal reasons, which fortunately works well with Apple Pages, the iPad and flash drives/MicroSD cards Via the CC Kit.

I recommend DB because it makes things easier.

Must haves for me:

- Tasker - why doesn't Google just buy this out and include in on ALL Android phones, already? This little app is what makes me 100% sure I made the right choice of mobile OS. I'm running around 15 profiles.

- Dropbox - was great at home and at work, but is FANTASTIC as a mobile app. I sync each and every mobile picture I take.

- Evernote - same as Dropbox, really... except I take notes at work or at home, and continue them on the go if necessary. Also will take photos of book covers, sale prices, etc to compare later.

- LogMeIn - great when I've forgotten to do something on the desktop, so I just do it from my phone. Easy!

what are you asking? All apps are "wireless" on a phone. I guess my favorites that uses the internet are Boat Browser, Bookmark Tree, and Groove IP. I achieve more because fast, organized, and can make/receive calls on wifi.

Umm. It seemed like jimymartin wanted to know what everyone's favorite app is for managing their wireless connection. At least that's how I interpreted it.

Managing wireless connection... I use tasked to turn on and off wifi when I get home and to work, and turn off when I get in my car. Other than that I have a toggle button in my notification bar for other situations.

Default New Facebook App

I found a new app - well at least it is to me - called FriendCaster. It is a Facebook app that has more functionality than the Facebook for Android App does. Here is what it will do and a description:

FriendCaster for Facebook - Does what the official Facebook application should!

FriendCaster for Facebook (formerly Flow) gives you the best Facebook experience on Android devices!
Advantages of FriendCaster over the standard Facebook for Android app:
General
★ More Secure with Enforced SSL Encryption
★ New ActionBar UI
★ Pull To Refresh (like how the iPhone Facebook does it)
Notifications
★ Gmail Push Notifications. FriendCaster can check for emails that Facebook sends to you telling you that youíve got a notification.
★ Notifies on Facebook Messages, Friendsí Birthdays & Notifications
★ Notification Popup (which can show over Lock-screen and has Quick Reply). Similar to SMS Popup, Handcent SMS, etc.
Postings
★ Share Links from the Browser easily without being redirected to Mobile Web
★ Ability to select the privacy setting for each Facebook Status/Post you make
★ Ability to Like comments and see how many likes comments have
★ Re-Share your Facebook Friendís Posts
Friends
★ Add Facebook Friends as Favorites for easy access
★ Ability to Add/Remove Facebook Friends
Photos
★ Upload multiple photos (with Gallery)
★ View the Photos that your Friendís are tagged in on Facebook
★ View and Tag Friends in Photos on Facebook
★ Upload Photos to Groups and Pages (that you own) on Facebook
Videos
★ Upload Video to Facebook
★ Upload multiple videos with the Gallery App Other notable features:
- Excellent Widget
- Checkin & Places
- View your Events and Groups
- View Friends, their profiles, photos and albums

My problem with Friendcaster was that it didn't see that I had certain things I wanted ignored such as game posts. If that can be done I might go back to it

Soccer Score - FotMob is my favourite footie livescore app. I know it's off-season right now but I use it for the Copa America. It's fantastic when the season kicks off.

Cric Buzz is great (most of the time) but I don't really follow cricket as avidly.

I have been using it since it was f+ then flow and now FriendCaster. I like it much better than the native Facebook app because I get actual notifications
