Cool

Last night I decided to give Slice a try. WOW!!!

If you ever shop online you really should use this app. I had plenty of doubts about how well it would actually work, but I was very impressed. After linking my Gmail account all of my recent online purchases showed up including tracking info (for the item that had tracking info). Really easy to set up and the app does exactly what it is supposed to.

Previoulsy the "timed profile" in nokia was the nearest I got - could set it to be silen until the end of the meeting, then back to loau so I knew which pocket it was in.
I use "Setting Profiles" to customize meeting, and other profiles.
This is the paid version, but there is a Lite version in the market too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.probeez.profiles&feature=search_res ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5wcm9iZWV6LnByb2ZpbGV zIl0.

I use Tasker to do that. Any time there is a calendar event titled "work" my phone is put into silent and auto sync is turned off. Once that calendar event ends the settings are automatically restored.

How about Text Widgets that allow you to label each home screen. This allows me to display a category of shortcuts and widgets on each home screen and know by the main screen label what I am viewing.

Click Pic to go to Google Play:

my favorite calendar app is Touch Calendar
easily scrolls using your finger and you can zoom in with pinching. this is how the stock calendar app should be

The Viz Profanisaurus is also excellent! But you will probably have to be British to understand the context of it. (Classic adult comic full of obscenity!)

BBC News, eBay and Google Sky Map have also remained. And a few others. I dont play computer games but Devil Hunter is pretty good!

Just don't forget to back everything (Nandroid backup) before you start deleting stock apps.

Good advice from Roze. Also I recommend that first you freeze the app, reboot, and make sure everything still works ok. Then if something is broken then just defrost the app, if everything is ok, then you can go ahead and delete if you want or just leave it frozen and forget about it.

That is the method I used after messing some things up when I was new to rooting

I think my favorite app right now is the DropBox. For one, I was about to go get some help to see why in the world BusyBox refuses to install. I have a laptop and it's not always convenient carrying a laptop around unless there is something I didn't copy to my DB folder and I don't have the funds to add more space so I delete things once a week not necessary to have. O.k. now I must venture on to find out why BusyBox will not install for me since some rooted apps require this be installed.

My favourite app is the new Dropbox with instant upload of your photos as soon as you snap a picture.

Whenever i take a photo with my phone its backed up and on my PC when i get home.

ICS Browser+ and Apex launcher are my current favourites. HTC's stock ICS experience is too much like Gingerbread, but these two make everything nice.

Audiogalaxy is pretty damn amazing. I set it up a while ago, but never really got it to work untill the last update. Now I can stream my entire HDs worth of music wherever I am. Now that I have 4G with a brand new Rezound, I am a music streaming boss. I use it in my car everyday.

Google + does the same thing. Uploads automatically be Picassa. And there is no space restriction.

Are you sure there is no restriction? I remember a couple years ago I hit my storage limit on picasa, so I now pay for more. Its only $5 a year for an extra 20gb shared across all Google services so its a great deal, unless they have removed the restriction.

But yes, Google+ is awesome for instantly uploading pictures and videos

Daughter uses HBO Go on her Stratosphere. Not available in "app form" on either my tablet (?!?) Or phone. She said On Demand doesn't work...

You said play store tells you which shows are available? Where? For DroidTV?

You need to install HBO GO, and be subscribed to HBO (Dish, Direct, TWC). I don't sub to HBO, but use the "Epix" app. for any of their movies.

More info here.

The only count pics which have a HUGE resolution. Other than that, the space isn't counted.

I'm liking CPU Tuner, just installed it last week but anything that minimizes battery use is HUGE with me. I now go 2 days between charges with moderate use. It's a rooted app btw.

I picked that app up when it was on sale. I rarely use it, but it is pretty awesome and works great.

a lot of people on these phone, people with the Nexus and other 4G phones, hate it and find it to be a waste of money. Better off just getting an app that tells you what is using the most battery.
