I've been playing with this camera app for about a month. I'm really enjoying it.

Default if you have kids

If you have kids, the favorite of mine is The Animal Game. It's a really nice looking game that keeps my kids engaged but also helps with their animal recognition and spelling. Anyone with small children should really check it out

Cool Favorite App?

My favorite would have to be CoPilot Live. It's an amazing Offline GPS UI that uses a prepossessing map pack. Mine's the whole Southeast US. It's very accurate and user friendly. And best of all, free.
I use this on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Love the huge screened Map.

Now, coming in second for me would be Textab. A Bluetooth SMS app texts are forwarded between Tablet and phone, so I can use a better larger Keyboard. It cost me $2.99. Well worth it though.

I found this one about 9 months ago. I don't use Facebook, so the only one I use is the scrolling bookmark widget. There are also a lot of themes you can download from the Play Store, many of which are free.

Default papercam app.

papercam is one of my favorite apps. due to being able to record in a cartoon effect, though I noticed I can't record from it and so badly want to for video Ideas I have on using the effect. Does anyone know how I can get this app to show the recording option on my phone (I have the samsung admire version 2.3.6) or is there a movie maker effect (not Blaine's effect) that's similar to what this app. has.?......better yet how do I make my own cartoon recording effect for this phone, hehe (if there's a way).

Apart from the app I use the most, Pandora, my favorite app is Ingress. Something I would not be able to play if I never switched to Android this year.

If anyone else use this on a tablet are you having this issue?

I installed Camera ICS and giving it a try. It seems to take the pictures. I did email the developers about it.

Thnx.

octavia001, what type of recording problems are you having? Are you using papercam to record videos and it's not recording?

More details will help.

No, I read from the google play store that this apps. recording feature doesn't appear on certain android phones and my type of phone is one of them. Not knowing at first, I bought this app. with the sole purpose of using the recording feature's cartoon effect's for some video Ideas I had, but then realized after purchasing it that my type of phone won't allow recording from the app. So I was just asking if anyone knew a way to get the recording feature on this app. to show on my phone so I can use it, you know like........do I have to upgrade my phone to a different ROM or use root file manager to change some file that's a part of this app., etc. Or instead if there was some cartoon effect (not blaine's effect) that I could use to make my videos cartoon-like, or a way I can make my own cartoon effect. I even tried buying pencil cam which has the same cartoon effect's as pappercam but once again the recording feature did not show for that one either, all the other apps. with these cool cartoon effects are mainly for taking photo's. So do you know if there is some or any way other than me buying a new phone that I can get the recording feature to show? Talking to the developers didn't help but since there's so many tips, tricks and hacks everywhere to make what couldn't happen on some phones happen, was just wondering if there was a way for this apps. recording feature to show so I can record using it.

I just put it on my Nexus (was a free app at Amazon a while back), and the video works fine. I can see how you could make a cartoon. Unfortunately my N7 only has a front facing camera. So you don't have a "switch" (very cartoonish) in the lower right corner? If your phone doesn't support video recording, I doubt there's a way to make it work.

Don't think I want to spend $2 to try when Browser to Google Reader, and/or Flipboard work well for me.

One of the reasons why I bought the Galaxy Note 2 was for the Multi-view window capability. To me that is one major step in the evolution of phone software design. So I can say its one of the nicest tools on a device.

That being said, using the multi-view window feature has an additional benefit that it allows me to compare side by side similar apps to determine which one of the two being compared is best for my needs.

In doing so I decided to compare the twitter apps Tweetings and Falcon Pro.
Backtrack a bit, I used to use Plume but eventually switched to Tweetings. Both are good but Tweetings seems more streamlined and yet capable of doing what I wanted a twitter app to do. But its uncanny way of not keeping where I was in the timeline was really driving me nuts.

So here comes a mention of Falcon Pro on androidcentral. After reading the review, I decided to test it out my self. On its own it seems to be exactly what I want. The icon of the app is really nice looking, but an icon does not make an app. But then it dawned on me to use the Galaxy Notes multi-view window feature and compare them side by side.

While on its own it seemed great, comparing it to tweetings, really blew me away. The interface is slick, looks are pleasing to the eye, and the one thing that has eluded me (not keeping my spot in the timeline) was finally there. Granted there are quite a few features still not in the app, but the developer is quite engaged with his followers/customers and continues to improve the app on a ongoing basis.

Therefore, I have to say, Falcon Pro for Twitter is by far the best twitter app for Android (for my needs).

Really nice apps!
I recently got the Beautiful Widgets PRO hd, it is also nice!
I like to have analog clock on my screen, they have many to choose from in the widget.
Definitely recommend!

"Display Brightness" is really cool. You can change the screen brightness by dragging your finger across the notification bar. For those of us not fortunate enough to have a cyanogen mod Rom.

More Quickly Panel. Puts toggles like Brightness, WiFi, Data, BT, etc. in a quick-access swipe down from the notification bar. Now I don't waste screen real estate with widgets ...

Just found a real nice swiping keyboard, "Kii". Allows almost any theme from Playstore, custom fonts and sizes. My post here with more info in that thread.

edit: another "variety" of this KB. You can change text and key size and colors... very nice swiping keyboard!

Yeah, I really wanted to like SKF since I bought SK a while back, but it doesn't "flow" in too many apps for me (like my favorite browser "Naked"). I like how Kii is totally customizable, even on imported themes.

SKF didn't do it for me either. Went back to FlexT9.

Default Print Email To PDF

Is there an app that can take an email opened on an android device and reproduce it in pdf format (graphics included)?

Default only one?

As far as a file manager- ES File explorer. And being this is only my second post...would it be ok to ask an opinion on another favorite app? If not..I apologize but...Any opinions on Juice Defender? Seems it saves alot of battery but then again I heard some battery saving apps do more harm to battery life. true? false?

True, most battery saving apps do more harm than good, but not all. Depends on what they're set up for. Radio control is often handy through app control, varies by phone though.

New app out there, Ctrl+C is just what I have been waiting for, pretty cool.

Only way I found to do this, is take a screenshot of the email (if it's on one page). Then you can convert the photo to pdf with a number of apps, I tried "ConvertTopdf Lite" and it worked well. Or email it to yourself if you have a PC, and use "Nitro PDF Creator".

If devs want to continue to post here with their brand new app as their favorite, masquerading as innocent users, ignoring all warnings by not even slightly reviewing this thread, then we're going to unleash one of our favorite apps -

We call it the Spam Ban.
