Default Mail app where you can change the from address

I'm trying to find a Mail App which will allow me to select the from address.

I use several aliases for websites I run, and various different roles I have, but they all come into my gmail account, but I can't change the from address on the gmail app.

Anyone know of any apps where I can change this?

Thanks in anticipation!

You could set up multiple mail accounts in the mail app, and use the correct account for the alias you're wanting to use. That may not be exactly what you're looking for, but it would get the job done.

Thats how I currently manage it, and looks like thats probably going to be the best option. Thanks for your advice :-)

There is also a setting in gmail when you set up the other accounts for forwarding where you can choose to answer from the account that sent the message. It's under the settings for Accounts and Import:

When receiving a message:
Reply from the same address the message was sent to

I use gmail for the same thing as you mentioned and it works quite well for responding correctly as if it was from the original account.

FYI: Froyo (Android OS 2.2) allows the Gmail app to change the "from" address while creating an email.

If your device isn't too old and you get the 2.2 upgrade, you'll be set.

Question

Is it possible that this ability has somehow been removed on the new Motorola Milestone 2? I can't seem to find any way of using mulitple identities when sending emails on it...
