Default Have the Incredible.....the stock photo app is horrible....any good photo apps?

What I need to do with my Incredible is so simple and I am really amazed that this phone's photo app is as bad as it is. I have about 100 photos. I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to seperate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I did a search and found some instructions using Astro file manager however this did not work for me. Therefore, is there any decent apps out there that will allow me to create folders (or albums) and put pics into them? I also need to somehow backup the photos (probably directly off of the SD card onto my PC). Thanks for any much needed help!!!

The INC absoultely has this capacity. Use a good file manager like Astro or Estrongs or attach to your PC. Once connected create folders for whatever pictures you'd like (family, friends, porn , whatever but they MUST be created at the root of the SD card. Then store your pictures in each respectively. Once this is done, open the standard picture viewer and go to your albums. All of your new albums will be there for you to select.
Hope this helps.

I have Astro but I tried to follow instructions that were done in the DCIM folder on the phone. I have not tried doing this while the Dinc was connected to my PC. One question though......what do you mean by saying that they "Much be created at the root of the SD card." What do you mean by "root of the SD card"? Thanks

root of the sd card means just that
like if you have a folder say c:/new folder/music
c:/ is the root.

Please tell my why Google is not porting all their desktop apps to Android... Like PICASA? Picasa Tool is fine for online album viewing, but we need a Picasa app that replaces the local photo viewer (which, as Smudgie notes, sucks). Is there anything good out there that allows Album creation internal to the app, rather than having to create folders and sorting outside of the app? Would be great to create an album, add photos to that album, then upload it to Picasa Web Album, all from one place (like the desktop application does...)

The one thing I cant stand is whenever you take a pic (with the dinc) it ALWAYS saves it to DCIM, you cant change the path the phone saves a picture you just took. I hate that.

Agreed that this is a PITA. But what really chafes my butt is there seems to be no good app for organizing the images. OK, tying to a PC and moving the files around works, but why, why, why is this about the only reasonable choice???

Shortly after I bought the DINC2, a friend asked my what I really don't like about it. And this is one of 'em (the other two are low volume ring tones, and the text editing tool is ...ah... less than precise in its placement in text to be edited).

I use fish bowl beta to make photo organizing easier. I had to figure out how to do it though. You just chose some photos with stars, click move, then create new album.

I wouldn't accuse this app of being mind-numbingly obvious to use. In fact... meh... plugging into the PC is easier. It's a pity, because the basic bones for a useful tool are there, but the UI and the processes to do stuff need a lot of work. Uninstalled.

Changed my mind... for now. I kept the app. But it is very clunky in places.

I use quick pic. Easy to create the folders and as the name suggests, the pics are quick to refresh.

Use QUICKPIC!!

It is by far the simplest and fastest
You can exclude folders from showing in the app by long pressing on them

After selecting multiple photos, you can also move them to a different folder.

QuickPic is simpler to use, for the most part, but doesn't seem to know how to find folders within folders. The Move process isn't too clear, either.
