Default Titanium Backup Overwrite Newer Files?

I have a rooted EVO and did my backup on 2.1, then updated to a rooted 2.2 ROM. I noticed the Titanium Backup reinstalls the browser, default mail app, navigation, google maps, and basically all the preloaded apps/data the phone comes stock with. My question is, if 2.2 has a newer version of an app already installed, is Titanium backup going to overwrite all the new updated versions with the old version?

Thanks!

Default

You should be using it to only restore user apps & data...not the system data. Things change and (yes) it'll roll you back on changes made in the actual OS.

Read this rant/suggestion from master chef Flipz and he explains it.
