Default Checklist Application?

What's the best application for creating checklists?

Not todos, but repetitive lists or steps that are referenced, repeated and checked off again and again.

For things like:

Pre-flight Checklist
Vacation Packing List

Stuff like that?

Hi 155 and welcome to the Forums!

How about "Mobisle Notes" It's free and You can easily create your own type Check list. It has the tick box function next to it so when you for example have picked up an item or done something you can literally tick it off and it's greyed out. You can have normal notes without the Tickbox next to it also

Try it for yourself

So an important feature is the ability to uncheck everything on my list so I can save it later, preferably with one click. Can it do that?

Sorry I didn't include that on my first post.

I used to do this on ilium soft's list pro on a different os.

Well if you Uncheck the Boxes it does save like that as far as I'm aware ,

The best thing to do is check it for yourself to see if you like it or not and if it suits your needs

You can scan the QR code above or simply search "Mobisle Notes" on the Market

I tried it.

It doesn't have an easy way to clear all check marks on a list.

Does anyone know of any other good check list programs?

If you're willing to pay for it, then Note Everything (pro) is great for checklists. You can either create a regular checklist or a durable checklist (repeating checklists). IMO it's the best, if you're willing to pay.

Wow I just tried it. It is the only solution of all the apps listed which solves my problem and it works great. Thanks for your post.

So after using it for a while, it is pretty good, but I wish I could put the items in order for a list of steps.

I agree, None of these apps seem to support drag and drop. They all want to sort by alpha or time, but not let us organize them in sequence.

Yeah. That is another problem I found out with that. Once we can organize notes whichever way we want and sync with Google accounts, then I don't see why this won't be the best note taking app.

LiveList is by far my favorite checklist application. You can create multiple lists, set priorities, organize (alphabetically, by date, or drag and drop). You can check things off and the delete all checked or uncheck all!

I used to use List Pro as well. I haven't found anything yet that comes close to it. A few apps were listed here that I haven't heard about. I will check them out.

I ended up using gTasks. It syncs with Google Tasks. You cannot uncheck all items at once, but it is a very "basic" list program that seems to work for me.

To order your stuff in Note Everything Pro use a number scheme at the front...i needed them ordered as well along with the abilities of the durable checklist. this is my only current solution.

Android Compatriots,

Sorry to join this conversation so late. I just registered today. I've been searching quite some time to find a satisfactory checklist program as well.

I would like one that on top of being able to make an ordered checklist, be able to save to a file, so I can upload that file manually to my own PC, edit it, and put it back, and import it.

Program 'CheckList Lite' hypothetically does this, but despite painstaking methods to make sure my XML format was identical to items manually entered and saved, it will not re-import them, so I want to find a different program. How can people so easily abandon great programs that used to exist on rampant Palm devices?

Despite how they are free, you'd figure they'd all have the same (working) features.

(To be sure, I do not want a program that uses a 3rd-party/intermediary website or interface.)

Thanks; Regards,

Ambiguous User

I like Gtasks. Syncs with Tasks/Gmail. Can reorder items or lists. Has nice widget.

You should try ChecklistPro.

It allows you to download predefined checklists (there are many) for free.
You can then modify these checklists to suit your needs. Use the phone (that can get tedious if you have a lot of changes) or us any spreadsheet program on your desktop.

You can clear a checklist with two touches.

You can export/import, backup/restore to Dropbox.

Not the prettiest program. But, overall the most functional.

Packing List by DotNetIdeas is a great one. It comes with pre-set lists, you can add your own, check all items at once, uncheck all items at once, etc. I use it all the time

GoTasks... add something there, it shows up in the Tasks window on Google Calendar... and vice versa.

Lightweight task management application, allows to sync your tasks with Google Tasks
