Default Open Home Memory Optimization....What does it do??

Any idea? It doesn't seem to close apps like TaskKiller or TaskPanel. So what is it doing?

My guess is that it looks at the idle time of apps and closes those that are not actively being used....

Maybe but, most idle apps use next to no ram. My guess is it attempts to fix memory leaks.

with my droid, if i click on it, it will change from original Homescree to Openhome screens (i bought/installed it). I'm not sure why it does that, but that's how mine behaves

Hmmm, good point - didn't think about that....

I hate 'memory optimizers' in the real world, b/c in terms of PCs, even with Windows OSs since XP, they are basically a waste of time, and with Vista / 7 can actually be detrimental if used incorrectly, so I made the (possibly incorrect) association that this app does something along the same lines...
