Default Recording calls... Recoroid?

I've searched on this topic and all I've really found are discussions on the legalities, of which I'm aware. I run a weekly radio show and need to be able to record interviews with bands who are quite aware and willing to be recorded.

So... what works? On my old phone I just dialed, clicked options->record, and that was it. Now I have a Motorola Droid and I really really really miss this one simple feature. The only app I've seen in the marketplace that suits my needs is Recoroid which has had pretty mixed reviews.

Help!

Why not try the app yourself?

The Market has a 24 Hour return policy so whatever app or game you buy , you can test it out & if you don't like it you can get a refund in a couple of clicks

You're right, I should have tried the obvious to begin with. I installed it, tested it (it sucked), uninstalled for refund immediately.

Now, any other suggestions?

Do you have Google Voice? You can record with it. This is what the websites says on how to do it:

Calls: Recording phone calls

Print
To record your call, simply press 4. You can do it when you first accept a call, or any time after it's started. Pressing 4 again (or hanging up) will stop it.
Your recordings are saved online and you can access them just like you do with voicemail.
Note: at this time you can only record calls you receive on your Google Voice number. You can't record calls you initiate using our Click2Call from our website or the Return Call feature from your voicemail.
There are different laws that apply to call recording, so check your current state and Federal laws before using this feature. To assist in the compliance of these laws, we provide an automated verbal announcement when call recording has been initiated and when it has been stopped.

I had vRecorder loaded for a day, but it killed my ability to make outbound calls, even when not running.

I requested a Google Voice invite, no luck yet tho. I may have to borrow my wife's LG to do interviews in the meantime. Seems silly to user her li'l old Chocoloate 2 (4 months from retiring) to do something productive while she plays Jewels on the Droid.
