Default Audible.com app

Anyone use this? I have some audible books in the enhanced aax format but when I copy them into the audible file on my sd card it still says there are no titles found. Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Are you importing these files from another source? Looks to me like .aax is a DRM protected format. If that's the case and you downloaded those files on another device you may not be able to play them on your Android phone. I do see that there are file converters out there that can deal with these, this under the assumption that the files where properly obtained and paid for (bit of a disclaimer there, not an indictment of you).

Ive been using this app since beta and it has always worked great. Probably you have chosen the wrong format. The android app is still only able to use STANDARD and ENHANCED formats. There small 4 meg files are not recognized by the app. I use the standard format and always download from my-library directly to android.

Hi, thanks for the replies. I downloaded them on the pc from the audible store. They were free audio books from the Guardian newspaper. I tried standard and enhanced files but none are recognised.
I checked on their site and it said sideloading was possible into the sd card.

Really confused...

I do not wish to sound like a donkey's hindquarters nor insult your intelligence, but is it possible you're simply looking in the wrong place? You mentioned no files show up...I know when I first got my Vibrant it confused the heck out of my feeble mind that there are 2 "SD's," that is, /sdcard, which is the phone's internal memory and /sdcard/sd, which is the external, plug in micro SD card. Just a thought.

Well I just looked in my Audible folder "/sdcard/audible/ " and the only Files in there are ".aa" extensions for all of my books. As I said I down load directly from my library after purchase. I make the purchases from the Laptop and then sync my Audible app via WiFi or 3g connection to my account. They show up as downloadable links. I tried before to side load and never had any joy. Just gave it up as a bad Idea.

When you Start Audible up on the phone is there not any download links for these. There should be if you have signed up for an account you can sign in with the phone app and they will show up in your library as files to download.

Cheers frank, nothing showing. I'll try getting in touch with their support to see if they can help.

Thanks again...
