Default Wallet program . . .

Looking for a program that will allow me to store information about my bank accounts, credit cards, software registration numbers. Needs to be password protected.

I was using eWallet by illium software with my Windows Mobile Smartphone and would like something like that.

Have downloaded the demo version of Wallet Pro from Market and it seems to be something that might work.

Anyone out there in Android Land know of anything else that might do the trick?

Thanks.

Lazy Lazy Lazy!

Still I am in good mood as I just have just finished configuration of keepass in connection with dropbox and I am really impressed with the software. For the pc download keepass portable app and that is all you need.

Dropbox will take car of syncing the passwords between your PC and Android, and portable app will allow you to open database on external PCs (ie. at work).

I told you more than enough. Now go on and read before asking another question.

i don't think he asked for a password app lol, you should really read the question properly if you reply in that manner! (Try to be more gracious)

He asked for an app where he could store banking related information, a prerequisite is that the app be password protected. That's not the same as an app that stores passwords.

It's not so much what you said as how you said it. Perhaps you were trying to be humorous, which I can appreciate, but I know from experience that sometimes things are taken the wrong way.

I use B-Folders to keep passwords and notes, among other things, secured.

SplashID should also fit the needs here although I have seen some very negative reviews of their Android version. It was my password safe for many years on palm platform but they have been slow to port to Android world. SplashShopper and Splash Wallet (which contains shopper) are not available.

After reading other reviews I'm exploring using keepass with dropbox for this niche. I have not transferred my Splash files yet so I don't have it working yet but that's on my to do list.

Mocapay. This company is really pushing to integrate with POS companies and retail companies to give users a true mobile wallet allowing them to leave their plastic at home.

Yeah, I use splashID. I had it for my Palm treo and now for my Droid. It works fine and syncs easily with the desktop companion. I store my passwords, bank information, web logins, prescriptions, pretty much everything. Never had a problem.

Thanks guys for the ideas. I have settled on Wallet Pro. It is very similar to the eWallet program that I had been using on my WinMobile and WinPc.

This is exactly what KeePass is!!! ...Have you even tried it?

I was even considering for using it as list storing program (MP3 collections, things to take on a trip, standard grocery list etc.), as it is better at creating structured catalogues and can store more categorized information than 90% of list managers that I have seen so far on Android.

And who told you I was trying to be funny? I was stating the simple truth. One day before him I had had same issue, as I had been looking for same kind of app. And believe me when I say that there is more than one topic on this forum about it. Actually, before I posted my topic about it two days ago (as I couldn't find the app with online access that would satisfy me), I had seen ALL the apps that where suggested in this thread by other users.

To sum up: 1. I wasn't trying to be funny. 2. He didn't even bother to use search function on this forum before posting a new thread.

Surprised

I. advise you to definitely stay away from splashID on your android. I cannot for the life of me get it to sync. I deleted my palm version(which was great!) and downloaded brand new android version...on desktop and Vibrant. Spent way too many hours trying to make it work....NO go at all. Keepass looks good, although I do worry about dropbox safety. Guess I am just a worrywort about having my passwords going off to the internet.

Very well. Then you were just plain rude in your response and you've shown your true colors. The person who asked the original question is new and may not know his way around very well.

Best of luck to you on the forums.

Kordi,

I am not as smart as you. I wonder who appointed you minder of the site for people who do not search before they ask a question?

Your correct response is to politely give me a link to your thread and just move on.

But your reply was no such thing. Instead you put yourself up as an expert on how one should use a forum and showed your true colors as far as a person. You are rude, crude and obviously are not a mature person. Others have shown some interest in answering my question in a polite way.

I sure hope you don't ask a question on this forum that was covered in another thread because some one may answer you just like you answered me.

Nough said. I found my answer without any help at all from you.

All done, lessons learnt in this thread? Be gracious to others. We are all here to help, and to seek help

Kordi, the search feature is useful, but we don't require everyone to use it, people are free to sign up, and post a question without searching. PM me if you want to discuss further, but please note the above.
